Booking Policies

 

Reservations

All reservations and bookings should be submitted in writing by fax, e-mail or letter. Peru Gay Tour will respond in the same way. The reservation will be held on a tentative basis until deposit is received from the client. All reservations will be guaranteed only upon receipt of such deposit.

 A - Individuals: An individual reservation is considered to be a number less than or equal to 10 passengers. A deposit of 40% of the total value will be required with each reservation. The remaining balance will be due 7 days prior to arrival of passenger.             

B - Groups: A Group is defined as having a number of passengers greater than 10. A deposit of 50% of the total reservation value will be required with each reservation.

The remaining balance will be due 75 days prior to arrival of passengers. The only acception to this, is on the Inca trail bookings. The reimbursement of payment is not possible under any circumstance.

Note: Inca trail Reservations will be subject to the daily capacity emitted by the UGM (500 people, including guides, porters, helpers and around 150 tourists), therefore we recommend you to reserve your place with as much notice as possible.

 

Payment

All payments are due in full 45 days prior to departure (group bookings are 75 days prior). Peru Gay Tour reserves the right to cancel the booking and impose cancellation charges should the payment not be received by the established date. A non-refundable deposit of 40% is due within 15 days after the receipt of our invoice. If a booking is made less then 45 days before the departure date, full payment of the balance must be made before the passenger arrival.

Luxury Peru Tour will send the detailed itinerary to The Client within 3 business days of having received the first 40% deposit.

Note: All the wire transfer fee is assumed by the client or tour operator.

 Cancellation

The Client may cancel the booking at any time. Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to Peru gay Tour. If notice of cancellation is received by Peru Gay Tour42 days or more prior to departure, only the non-refundable deposit will be retained. The following scale of charges will apply when notice of cancellation is given after the booking is confirmed:

If only part of a booking is cancelled, the remaining parties may be responsible for additional charges (e.g. under-occupancy, or single room supplements). If airline flights are cancelled after tickets are issued, change fees, or Airline cancellation fees up to 100% will be applicable and may be in addition to the above cancellation charges. Medical Insurance Plan We Strongly Recommend The Use Of A Travel/ Medical Insurance Plan. Limited insurance is available in Peru with local insurance companies and international travel insurance companies. Daily rates range from $2.00 - $8.00, depending on coverage requested. We prefer not to get involved with supplying these services, since it is easier and less expensive to purchase this kind of coverage abroad, at your point of origin; although we are willing to acquire coverage for you upon request. If a member of the group gets sick or is incapacitated, we take care of him by getting a qualified doctor to him/her, in these cases extra costs are assumed by the individual client, including hospitalization if necessary. In the case of accident and/or necessary emergency evacuation, all expenses will be covered by the individual.


 Responsibilities

Luxury Peru Tour acts only in the capacity of an AGENT upon the legal conditions that, while exercising every possible precaution, Peru Gay Tour is not responsible for injury, sickness, damage, loss, additional expenses, accidental delay or other irregularities which may be caused either through willful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of companies or individuals providing or engaged in transportation, accommodation or other services related to the accomplishment of the tour, or through natural disasters, social upheavals or acts of nature. The company recommends obtaining the following types of insurance in this order: Travel insurance, Life insurance for accidents or incapacity, Medical evacuation insurance. Flights - Peru Gay Tour is not responsible for flights cancellation, changes of itineraries or other related to airlines. Peru Gay Tour reserves the right to modify or withdraw any travel arrangements when deemed necessary, in the best interest of our clients. We reserve the right to refuse, accept or retain any person as a member on any of our trips. Baggage is carried at owner's risk throughout the tour.
