Puno is situated on the Collao highlands, right by the Titicaca lake. The city was founded in 1668 and it is the highest harbor in the world! Legend tells that Manco Cápac, the first Inca, and Mama Ocllo, his sister-wife, emerged from the Titicaca lake waters and founded Puno. It's said that the royal couple was sent to give birth to the Uros indians, whose descendants still live in the lake islands. Puno is conected to Cusco by train, bus and domestic flights. The city is considered the Peruvian folkloric capital city for the variety and beauty of its dances (over 300 types), music and the religious and celebratory typical parties.

Arequipa Also called the White City, Arequipa was given this name because of its beautiful white buildings and houses made of sillar stone (a volcanic white stone). The downtown area alone is worth knowing. The attractions such as the Sabandía Mills, the Santa Catalina Monastery and Mirador Yanahuara marvel their visitors! Watching over the city there are the Misti and the Chachani Volcanoes that can be explored by taking tours up there. Also in Arequipa is the deepest canyon in the world: the Colca canyon that, apart from its valley oasis and the views from the Mirador, is home of the king of the air: the mighty condor! To watch it fly by is an unforgettable experience!

Nazca - Paracas over 3-hours bus trip takes us from Lima to Paracas, where, among other things, there is the Paracas Reserve and The Ballestas Islands. The islands are a sanctuary, home of one of the richest marine ecosystems in the world. From the islands to the Paracas Reserve, it's an hour-and-a-half boat trip, navigating close to huge sea lions and watching the beautiful beaches of the coast.
One of the unsolved mysteries of Peru lies in Nazca: it's a 31-miles desert where their ancient inhabitants made over 50 gigantic human, animal and geometric figures and criss-crossed lines that go miles and miles straight over the mountains. All that happened 2.000 years ago and the drawings were kept in place up to now! How could they do them, if they couldn't fly and such figures can only be seen from the sky? It's the largest work of art in the world!
