Puno is situated on the Collao highlands, right by the Titicaca lake. The city was founded in 1668 and it is the highest harbor in the world! Legend tells that Manco Cápac, the first Inca, and Mama Ocllo, his sister-wife, emerged from the Titicaca lake waters and founded Puno. It's said that the royal couple was sent to give birth to the Uros indians, whose descendants still live in the lake islands. Puno is conected to Cusco by train, bus and domestic flights. The city is considered the Peruvian folkloric capital city for the variety and beauty of its dances (over 300 types), music and the religious and celebratory typical parties.

Manu's National Park is probably the most diverse in nature life in the world! Located on the southeast of Peru, Manu is one of the largest natural parks of the world.
